Science Schools: challenges, post-pandemic opportunities

The summer course "Science Schools: challenges, post-pandemic opportunities" was aimed at higher education students enrolled in a study cycle who wished to understand, deepen, and develop competence in research and development in the field of scientific policy and organization in Portugal.

This initiative resulted from collaboration between researchers from the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Education and Development (CeiED) and the Center for Research in Applied Communication, Culture, and Technologies (CICANT) at Lusófona University.

This training program was part of the special support "Summer with Science", promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES), granted to integrated R&D and higher education training initiatives in face-to-face mode. Students participating in the course benefited from a research initiation or research scholarship under the FCT Scholarship Regulations, obtained through a public competition.

The training plan for the Science Schools: challenges, post-pandemic opportunities was structured into seven modules, which, with the exception of the last one, were divided into three components - training, internship, and autonomous work.
