Teresa Teixeira Lopo presented the paper The role of Portuguese think tanks in shaping education policy at the Emerging Researchers’ Conference, an event that preceded the ECER 2021 and took place on September 2 and 3 in an online format. The Emerging Researchers’ Conference aims to discuss and debate topical and thought-provoking research projects in relation to the ECER themes, trends and current practices in educational research.

The researchers from  PISA_PT project  António Teodoro, Teresa Teixeira Lopo, Vítor Teodoro, Ana Carita and Elsa Estrela participated, as invited speakers, in the conference Fostering scientific citizenship in an uncertain world, promoted by the European Science Education Research Association (ESERA) and which brought together more than 1200 members of the international science education research community.

Last September 2nd, on the occasion of the III Iberoamerican Congress of Comparative Education, the Meeting of the Executive Council of the Iberoamerican Society (SIBEC) took place via the Zoom Platform. The Comparative Education Section of SPCE (SPCE-SEC) was represented by António Teodoro (SPCE-SEC coordinator) and Carla Galego.

The training/internship action Schools of Science: Initiation to scientific research and digital experiences for a science of the future is taking place from September 1 to September 30, funded under the special FCT support “Summer with Science 2021”.

The call for submissions for the 4th WCCES Symposium, co-organized by the Comparative Education Section of the Portuguese Society of Educational Sciences (SPCE-SEC) is now open.
