Last December 17th, the PhD student Luís Miguel Pires Almeida presented and defended his doctoral thesis with the title Teacher Evaluation Literacy – Development and Application of the Questionnaire for Measuring Evaluation Literacy (QALA), supervised by Prof. Dr. Glória Ramalho – ULHT.

On December 3rd, Dalmo Dantas Gouveia delivered public exams for the doctoral thesis entitled “The expansion of higher education in Brazil through EaD: a study of graduates in the city of Aporá – BA”. The investigation was guided by Dr. Ana Maria Benavente da Silva Nuno; the jury was constituted as follows: President – Prof. Dr. António Teodor, arguers – Prof. Adriana Melo and Prof. Doctor João Pedro Fernandes, vocals – Prof. Doctor João Pedro Fernandes and Prof. Doctor Paulo Nunes.

International Congress “Paulo Freire: a centenary of topicality”

On the 13th, 14th and 15th of December, the International Congress “Paulo Freire: a centenary of topicality” was held, organized by CeiED in partnership with the UNESCO-ULHT Chair “Education, Citizenship and Cultural Diversity”, with the support of the Institute Paulo Freire and the “António Sérgio” Teacher Training Center.

The event had 818 registered participants, from the African, European and American continents, from Universities, Research Centers, Museums, Schools, NGOs and Social and Associative Movements.
