The Opening Ceremony of the 2021/2022 Academic Year of the Institute of Education took place on 20th October. The ceremony was attended by Professor Doutor Mário C. Moutinho, Rector of Universidade Lusófona and Professor Doutor António Teodoro. Both welcomed new students. Next, Professor Almerindo Janela Afonso presented a communication entitled “Democracy and Education: Old and New Dilemmas”.

Vítor Rosa participates in the 9.º Congresso da Sociedade Científica de Pedagogia do Desporto, organized in partnership with the School of Education and Social Sciences, of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, 15-16 October 2021, with the communication “As condições de acesso à prática desportiva e os fins prosseguidos”.

The 4^th working meeting of the Project underground4value was run in Lisbon from October 13 to October 15, 2021. The Lisbon meeting was organised in a hybrid way with 40 researchers from 22 different countries participating in person, and those who could not attend in person, joined the event virtually.

Eder Mariano (PhD student in Education at Universidade Lusófona and teacher at Universidade Federal do Maranhão), Vítor Rosa (researcher at CeiED), António Júnior (student at Universidade Federal do Maranhão), Deyvid Rizzo (teacher at Universidade Federal do Maranhão) and Luís Monteiro (teacher at Universidade Lusófona) presented a communication, entitled “Elas podem se machucar: as lutas no combate ao preconceito de gênero na educação física escolar “, at the International Congress Movimentos Docentes, IV SEPAD (Internships, Practices and Learning in Teaching) and II PRATI (Shared Teaching Practices), 14-16 October 2021, Brazil.

An online information session on international mobility for researchers, teachers and staff of Universidade Lusófona took place on 14 October, at 16h, promoted by the Doctoral College EMU Citizen Science – CeiED. The session had as guest Dr. Elisabete Lourenço, advisor of the Vice-Rector ULHT for International Relations, who presented to the participants the mobility programmes of the University, with emphasis on the new Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme.

Vítor Rosa, CeiED researcher, participated in the I International Congress of Literature and Religiosity, promoted by the Post-Graduation Programme in Literature of Mackenzie Presbyterian University. The proposed congress was interdisciplinary, seeking to highlight the importance of the field of literary studies for the understanding of the religious phenomenon.
