The Scientific Director of CeiED – the Interdisciplinary Centre for Education and Development, Professor António Teodoro

For the upcoming academic year, CeiED highlights the academic programmes offered by Universidade Lusófona at the first- and second-cycle levels, delivered across the Lisbon and Porto University Centres, combining scientific excellence with contemporary challenges in education, language, and technology.

The Revista Lusófona de Educação (RLE) has achieved a significant milestone by being upgraded in the CAPES Qualis classification system, moving from A2 to A1 in the field of Education.

The Scientific Director of CeiED, Professor António Teodoro, carried out a working visit to the University Centre of Porto last week, with the aim of strengthening scientific and institutional support for CeiED researchers based at this campus.

The Bachelor’s Degree in Education Sciences has a duration of 3 years (6 semesters) and its main objective is to develop in students a critical and reflective understanding of educational processes, equipping them for a wide range of professional activities in formal and non-formal education contexts. The curricular structure offers solid and integrated theoretical and practical training. The course stands out for its curricular units (CUs) focused on Promoting Contact with the Professional Context, which link theory and practice through interaction with real contexts, preparing professionals for educational and training challenges. Throughout the degree, students will engage in research processes, fostered through contact with experienced specialists and researchers.
