WEBINAR ACT4WBeing
We invite all teachers and researchers interested to participate in the ACT4WBeing Webinar, which will take place on November 28, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Lisbon time), in an online format.
This session is entirely dedicated to presenting the results of the ACT4WBeing project – Times of change and the change of times: a study on the relationships between curricular autonomy, teacher engagement, and well-being. The project’s main objective was to examine the relationship between curricular autonomy in schools and teachers’ engagement and well-being in Portugal.
Building on the context of the reforms initiated in 2016 with “pilot projects” on curricular autonomy and flexibility—which culminated in Decree-Laws No. 54/2018 and 55/2018—the project aimed to analyze the effects of these educational policies on teaching professionalism.
During the session, the main findings and contributions of the research will be shared, including data from the questionnaire administered to teachers and empirical work conducted in three schools/school clusters. The webinar will also feature contributions from the project’s consultants, followed by an open discussion to jointly reflect on the challenges, lessons learned, and opportunities for the future of education in Portugal.
This webinar is part of the Science and Technology Week 2025, an initiative that highlights scientists, their research, and their contributions to the advancement of knowledge and the well-being of society.
Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is required via this link.
