PhD Students from Algeria on Research Visit to CeiED

From October 9 to November 3, 2025, the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development (CeiED) welcomes two PhD students from Algeria for a research visit as part of their doctoral training.

Researchers Roumayssa Himri and Bouguerra Nor El Houda will carry out research activities and deliver academic seminars at Lusófona University, aiming to foster knowledge exchange and international scientific collaboration.

During their stay, the PhD students will present two seminars within the framework of the CeiED Citizen Science Doctoral College:

  • Roumayssa Himri: “Advancing Understanding in Racial and Ethnic Studies: Theoretical Perspectives and Educational Insights”
  • Bouguerra Nor El Houda: “Why Problem-based Learning and the Intercultural Approach Matter for Sustainable Language Education?”

This collaboration strengthens CeiED’s international commitment to promoting research networks and hosting scholars from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.

Luiza Trápaga’s Participation in the IX Iberian Forum of Museological Studies in Madrid

Early-career researcher Luiza Trápaga recently took part in the IX Iberian Forum of Museological Studies, held at the Universidad de Alcalá (UAH), Madrid. During the event, she delivered a presentation on the importance of citizen participation in the construction and maintenance of memory spaces, highlighting how community involvement strengthens the preservation and valorization of cultural heritage.

The event took place at the historic Universidad de Alcalá, founded in 1499 and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, providing a unique setting for academic discussions on museology and cultural memory.

Luiza’s participation reinforces her commitment to promoting active citizenship and fostering dialogue among researchers, museum professionals, and the public, contributing to more inclusive and participatory museological practices.
