A study by CeiED post-doctoral researcher Miguel Oliveira Rodrigues on the Portuguese Police Suicide Rate (2000-2021) was featured in the magazine Visão. The investigator’s reseacrh was the starting point for the article by journalist João Amaral Santos, entitled “What is happening in the police? Suicide rate is more than double that of the general population”, published on November 24th, in Edition 1499 of the magazine Visão. The study, covering the last twenty years, points to a suicide rate in the police that is more than twice that of the general population.

Last November 18, CIDATE researchers Nagayamma Aragão and Carlos Smaniotto Costa presented at the V ECUADORIAN CONGRESO OF STUDIES ABOUT LA CIUDAD MANTA 2021, organized by the Red Universitaria de Estudios Urbanos de Ecuador (CIVITIC) and Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí extensiones Manta y Pedernales (Uleam), the communication entitled Urban rivers as a line of investigation – Challenges and Projects in the «Thematic Table 4. Metodologías y Herramientas de Medición»,

CeiED/ULHT, through ReLeCo NEA-ES – Research and Learning Community Nucleus for African Studies – Education and Society, received an invitation to join the Scientific Council of the Herança – History, Heritage and Culture Journal. The invitation was addressed to Arlinda Cabral, the ReLeCo coordinator.

CeiED/ULHT, through ReLeCo NEA-ES – Research and Learning Community African Studies Group – Education and Society, received a special invitation to participate in the celebrations of Africa Universities Day 2021, organized by the Association of African Universities (AUA), based in Accra, Ghana, which took place on November 12, 2021, in virtual mode, under the theme “Building Resilient Technology-Based Universities, Now!”.

On September 24, at 14h30, an informal meeting was held for reflection and debate on initial teacher training, which brought together representatives of different entities of the Lusófona group such as IE-ULHT, IPLUSO and CeiED.
