Miguel Oliveira Rodrigues studies suicide in the police

A study by CeiED post-doctoral researcher Miguel Oliveira Rodrigues on the Portuguese Police Suicide Rate (2000-2021) was featured in the magazine Visão. The investigator’s reseacrh was the starting point for the article by journalist João Amaral Santos, entitled “What is happening in the police? Suicide rate is more than double that of the general population”, published on November 24th, in Edition 1499 of the magazine Visão. The study, covering the last twenty years, points to a suicide rate in the police that is more than twice that of the general population.

Coordinator of ReLeCo NEA-ES invited to integrate the Scientific Council of the Herança – History, Heritage and Culture Journal

CeiED participates in the celebrations of the 2021 African Universities Day

CeiED/ULHT, through ReLeCo NEA-ES – Research and Learning Community African Studies Group – Education and Society, received a special invitation to participate in the celebrations of Africa Universities Day 2021, organized by the Association of African Universities (AUA), based in Accra, Ghana, which took place on November 12, 2021, in virtual mode, under the theme “Building Resilient Technology-Based Universities, Now!”.

STAIRS Bridiging the Gap Between Education and the Local Community

The knowledge and materials, produced within the scope of the project Stakeholders Together Adapting Ideas to Readjust Local Systems to Promote Inclusive Education (STAIRS), were shared by Professor Ana Paula Silva in the international course Bridge the Gap Between Education and the Local Community, developed in partnership by the Teacher Training Center of AlmadaForma (Almada, PT) and Eekhout Academy (Flanders, BE), between 11 and 15 October 2021.

Meeting for reflection on initial teacher training

On September 24, at 14h30, an informal meeting was held for reflection and debate on initial teacher training, which brought together representatives of different entities of the Lusófona group such as IE-ULHT, IPLUSO and CeiED.
