ReMASE project’ researchers are Guest Editors in the journal Education Sciences (Scopus)
Professor João Filipe Matos, coordinator of the project Research Methods in Advanced Studies in Education (ReMASE) and Professor João Piedade, member of the research team of the same project, are guest editors of a Special Issue of the journal Education Sciences (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/education). The Special Issue belongs to the Curriculum and Instruction section and is entitled ‘Teaching Research Methods in Education‘.
Erasmus+: MARKA Project – Innovation and Inclusion in the construction of an identity curriculum
Louise Lima participated in the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting of the MARKA Project. MARKA: Innovation and Inclusion in building an identity curriculum is a 30-month international project, started in October 2020, and funded by the ERASMUS+ KA201 Program. The general objective is based on the construction of an identity curriculum in articulation with the local heritage. It aims to provide an opportunity for the development of pedagogical practices together with different partners from the school community, such as associations and other local institutions, to enrich and diversify the curricular expression, enhancing learning in context.
PhD students collect information for the project The language I use, the world I build
The PhD students in Education Maria Teresa Costa and Rosalina Lambo collected information in the scope of the project A língua que habito, o mundo que construo: ensino de língua portuguesa e desenvolvimento de competências em países da comunidade lusófona (PE-CEIED-3/001/2022). The PhD students, members of the research team, visited a public school in the province of Luanda, Angola, where they contacted the headmaster, the Portuguese language teachers, the area coordinator and secondary school students. The information gathering consisted in the application of a Critical Thinking Test to grade 12 secondary school students and the invitation to the LP teachers to participate in the remaining stages of the research.
Conference on Initial Training of Childhood Educators and Teachers gathers more than 200 participants
On September 23, 2022 took place the 1st National Conference on Initial Training of Childhood Educators and Teachers: Realities and Perspectives under Debate, open to a face-to-face and online audience and which brought together more than 200 participants.
Conversation with Commander Carlos Almada Contreiras
On September 26, in the José Araújo Auditorium at the Lusófona University, took place the first ‘Conversation with’, an initiative of the April Utopias project. The Portuguese Revolution and Education. The project Utopias de Abril aims to make a critical assessment of the changes and the state of education in Portugal during the democratic transition period between 1974 and 1976.
